RÉSUMÉ / RACHEL JOHN

Rachel John.

WordPress designer & developer

I have spent more than a decade building and supporting WordPress sites for organizations with real content, real deadlines, and people who need the site to work. I bring together structure, responsive design, accessibility, troubleshooting, event campaigns, and clear client communication.

EXPERIENCE / 01

A practical builder from brief to launch.

My independent WordPress practice spans client sites for service businesses, artists, community organizations, and campaigns. Projects such as Triple Clean, CJR Arts, and Hazelip for Idaho have involved responsive page design, content planning, custom forms, and features shaped around each client’s needs.

INDEPENDENT PRACTICE

WordPress designer & developer

CJR Web Services · Idaho · May 2019–present

  • Lead content planning, navigation, responsive design, and front-end implementation for WordPress sites.

  • Build with GeneratePress, GenerateBlocks, HTML, CSS, custom forms, and reusable page patterns.

  • Troubleshoot live sites and handle staging, updates, redirects, SEO basics, accessibility details, and cross-device checks.

  • Work directly with clients to translate changing needs into practical pages, visual assets, and maintainable handoffs.

LONG-TERM WEBSITE ROLE

Valley Christian Church

WordPress Designer & Website Administrator · Fruitland, Idaho · 2016–2026

Designed, developed, and maintained the church’s WordPress presence over more than a decade, including visitor information, worship and ministry pages, event content, and responsive layouts. Supported staff and ministry needs through updates, troubleshooting, hosting coordination, and digital graphics. This was a mix of paid and volunteer service; I no longer design or maintain the website.

EVENT CAMPAIGNS

I ran social promotion for two Harvest Festivals, pie auctions, and Vacation Bible School. The work included event messaging, Canva graphics, Facebook and Instagram posts, short video, and clear sign-up calls to action—connecting the website with the campaign around each event.

EARLIER ROLES

Supported and troubleshot conference-room equipment on site at Micron.
